In This Sunday's Paper

I was finally able to locate my cute face and the article about the Student of the Year award ceremony in The Denver Post. It is on the front of the Education section from this past Sunday's paper. If you missed it, here's a copy of the article! Click on it if you would like to see if larger!

Wedding Journal: September 25, 2007

Guess what?? Only 100 days to go! I can't believe it! I will be counting down the days from here. The big wedding task I am currently working on is the invitations. I am slowly working on designing them. After that, who knows how long they will take me to put together! But I can't wait to see them all put together.

Of course the big news this week is that Clint and I FINALLY decided on a couch. It only took use about two months! Leather or fabric? Suede or twill? Sand or Natural? Small or Grand? We decided to go with the classic Addin espresso leather sofa. We figure it will withstand children better than the sand suede PB Square Grand Couch.

Since bridal shower invites will be going out in the next week, I figured I should get my registries all set. I noticed that a bunch of the dishes on my Target registry were out of stock and discontinued. So I switched all of my dishes over to Pottery Barn.

While I was at it, I found some flatware that has a matching serving set that I liked much better than the original Target one I had picked out. I think this set is really mod and global and it will look awesome with my chargers and placemats.

The first bridal shower is only a month away and I can't wait to see all the pieces of my future home come together! Also a month away is a visit from my totally awesome maid of honor, Kim! And in one month my dress and veil will be arriving! I can't wait to try it on!

Weekly Checklist

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE working from home? I couldn't imagine getting up early on Monday mornings and having to drive to work and sit at a desk for eight hours. I like starting my week off slow and taking it easy. I also love that I can dink around with wedding planning periodically through the day. The wedding planning has been going unusually smooth. Maybe that's because I have been planning it since I was 14 or it could be that I am one of those super, entirely way over organized brides. Take my new weekly checklist for instance! I wanted to put my self on a beauty regiment since the big day is only over 100 days away. So what did I do? I created a beautifully laid out and very large checklist using my graphic design skills! That way I know I have had all eight cups of water every day! Okay, so maybe I am a little over the top...but who cares!

Student of the Year Award Ceremony

You may remember that I mentioned a couple posts back that I received Meritorious Recognition for Student of the Year in Art & Design from the Colorado Private School Association and The Denver Newspaper Agency. The award ceremony was last Thursday and Dad came with me to take some photos of the special event! I felt so honored and blessed to be recognized as one of the top students in Art and Design in the state of Colorado! After the ceremony, the founder and director of Platt College, Jerry Sirbu took me and the two other Platt award winners to eat at Macaroni Grill. It was a wonderful morning! If you live in Colorado, make sure you pick up a copy of The Denver Post on Sunday, September 23 because my smiling face is going to be in there!

Wedding Journal: September 14, 2007

Clint and I have officially been engaged for three months now! Only 111 days until the big day. I can't wait! Out of the three months we have been engaged, Clint and I have only seen each other for twelve days. I haven't seen him in almost two months and I've been missing him SO bad this week! I can't wait until we can be together every single day!

Hannah showed me this video on Sunday and pretty much sums up how I've been feeling this week. Thanks, Hannah.

4 Years = 1,460 Days

I cannot believe it has been four years! Four years since Clint and I's very first date.

That is 1,460 days that Clint and I have been together.

1,460 days of falling in love.

1,460 days of being twitterpatted.

1,460 days of saying "I love you."

1,460 days of long phone conversations.

1,460 days of being best friends.

1,460 days of planning our life together.

1,460 days of being in love with the love of my life.

113 days until I get to marry the love of my life and spend the rest of my life with him.

I love you, Clint Barker! I always will!

Sister Day

I haven't shared a digital page in quite awhile. Here is one I just did tonight. I had the urge to do some digital scrapbooking tonight, so I created a new page for Katja's Flower Team. This was Melissa and I's Sister Day in July. Isn't she so cute?! I just love her.

Simply Scrappin' Secret Garden Class

I wanted to share with you photos of the six scrapbook pages and ten cards that we will be making at my Simply Scrappin' Class on September 15th. All of these samples were created using one package of Stampin' Up!'s Secret Garden Simply Scrappin' kit. It was so fun and very fast...only a couple hours to design and create these sixteen designs! I really hope you'll be able to make it to the class!

And the Winner is....August 2007!

Wow. So I just went back through my blog archives reading over all of the awesome comments everyone has left me in the past two years. I also realized that in the month of August I have blogged a total of 11 posts compared to my typical 3-5 per month! That's over double my normal amount! Gosh, I have been chatty. Have all of you enjoyed it?

Since I hate to post without a photo, I'll leave you with a photo of me in the Caribbean in July. This was on our balcony on the cruise ship docked at the French side of the gorgeous St. Marteen! Since I have been doing all this blogging, I have been procrastinating on editing my hundreds of cruise photos. It will be done soon!
