Happenings....

Woah, April is totally flying by, I can't believe it! And so much is happening. I'm getting trained at work to receive and will probably take over the job in the next couple weeks. I'm actually home this morning! For the next five weeks, I only have school on Tuesdays and Thursday, unless I test out of my class all together. I'm loving being home in the morning. It's so quiet and I am way more productive in the morning. Also.....my best friend Hannah just got engaged!!! Yep, last Saturday, the day before Easter. We went out on Friday in celebration! We went to Copperfalls Spa, to the outlet mall, a bridal shop, Macaroni Grill for dinner and we went to see Take the Lead-which was awesome! If you like dancing you need to see this movie. We really enjoyed it. I'll try to post some photos I took on Friday.

Also....my mom and I were uploading photos last night and I ran across this cute photo she took of Clint and I when he was here in March. I just wanted to share it! Have an awesome day!!

Butterfly Invitations

Since I'm blogging, I also wanted to share some photos of an invitation I designed. A friend of mine at church wanted me to help her create invitations for her daughter's first birthday party which is going to be butterfly themed. So I designed this invitation that's designed in the shape of a butterfly. I think they turned out soooo cute and she loved them! We had a really fun time putting them together.

Made it to 19!!!

Wow! The year went by sooooo fast! And so much has happened this past year. I've also been blogging for over a year now. Only 40 post in a year. That's pretty lame! I'll really try to post more often. I always have good intentions but a shortage of time.

If you didn't know, I turned 19 on Tuesday! Woohoo. It was a really nice birthday. I went to school and work. The ladies at work sung me "Happy Birthday" quite loudly right in the middle of the store. So embarrassing! My mom came in and took my last Monogram Madness class. And she bought me a ton of awesome scrapbook stuff I wanted...3 Basic Grey paper packs, Hero Arts border stamps, the new Freestyle book and Rhonna Farrer acrylic stamps. So cute! My friend, Hannah also brought me balloons and a card while I was working. After work I came
home to a birthday party thrown by my little sisters. They had made a sign and wrapped some presents for me. I got even more neat gifts and cards from friends and family. My mom attempted to make another homemade cake this year. Unfortunately the cake wanted to stay in the pan. Some of you may remember the German Pancake disaster of last year. Too funny! One year my mom will make the perfect cake. It still tasted great anyway! I wish you could have been here to celebrate with me!

Some School Projects

So I thought you might like to see some stuff that I'm doing in school. These are two take-out boxes that I created in my last class Application of Design Principles and Color Theory. The first box is for Grab-N-Go Donuts which I totally made up! Does it look real?? I actually made up a whole story for the donut shop and you may be able to read it if you click on the photo of the back of the box. These were both created mostly in InDesign and then I had to recreate them by hand. Tell me what ya think!

This box is for Copperfalls Spa, my spa!
