Shout Out To Kim!!

I wanted to post my most recent published page. I was sooo excited that Creating Keepsakes picked up this layout of Kimmy and I for the Pretty Accent article. The coolest thing that is, if you open to the table to contents on page 13, you'll see Kimberly and I's face indicated which page the article is on! Sooo cool! They used the page for 'using symbolic accents' on page 130 of the February 2006 issue. You can probably still check it out at Barnes and Noble. Thanks for letting me share!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas from Me, Josh, Mercy, Melissa and puppy Jazz!

Wow! The year really flew by! It was such a great one. I had such good intentions for sending out many cute Christmas cards that I had been making over the months and a brief newsletter about the happenings in my life. But between school, work and being sick almost all of December, it just didn't happen. I promise I'll send my cards out next year. So here's my Christmas greeting. Thanks so much for coming a checking out my blog. Please leave some comments and let me know you stopped by. I would post more, but I'm not sure if anyone reads my posts! I just want to give you a brief summary of 2005 with the top five things that happened/I accomplished this past year.

1. I graduated from A Beka Academy High School in Pensacola, Florida in May and got to go to DisneyWorld and Universal Studios.

2. I started earning my degree in Graphic Design to Print and (Thank, God!) have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA.

3. In September, my boyfriend Clint and I had officially been dating 2 years....27 months and still counting! I LOVE him!

4. This spring I was awarded an Honorable Mention in Creating Keepsakes' Hall of Fame Contest. I was the youngest at 17 to ever be awarded and this means I am one of the top 75 scrapbookers in the world.

5. I finally, after many years, finished reading the entire Bible. I was also on my church's worship team this year and got closer to God and the plans He has for the rest of my life.

God bless all of you and I hope you have any amazing year!

I Won! I Won!

So in my typhography class for school we had a assignment to design a logo for Sewell Center's 1st Annual Blues Bash. It is a charity event that will be happening annually and they needed an identifing logo/symbol to use on a huge poster, invitation, t-shirt and a bead for a necklace. So out of about 30 logos submitted by students, THEY PICKED MINE! I was so excited and shocked. They payed me $50, and it's something that will go on my school record and in my portfolio. I just wanted to share. They won't be printing any pieces for about a month, but I'll post some pictures if I can. Here's the logo:
